Description:
Andriol and Methyltestosterone are the only oral Testosterone. In the body, the enzyme 5-alpha reductase converts methyltestosterone into the more potent 17-alpha-methyldihydrotestosterone.
This product is essentially aimed to promote strength rather than muscle mass. What is interesting is its ability to aggravate aggressiveness.
Side Effects (Estrogenic):
This form of testosterone is more easily aromatized to estrogens than the injectable version of Testosterone. As a result, most of the initial weight gains are mainly water weight !
High blood pressure, aggressive behavior, gyno are common.
Side Effects (Androgenic):
Methyltestosterone is mostly an androgen. Androgenic side effects are dose dependent and include oily skin, acne, and body/facial hair growth, hair loss, aggressiveness (as far as this is considered as being a negative side effect !).
In women, the unwanted effects include a deepening of the voice, menstrual irregularities and clitoral enlargement.
Finasteride or dutasteride may help to reduce all this to a certain extend.
Side Effects (Hepatotoxicity):
Methyltestosterone is a c17-a alkylated steroid molecule in order to slow its deactivation by the liver. This however makes methyltestosterone highly toxic to the liver.
Prolonged use may lead to liver damage. This is why, in order to preserve the liver, it is wise to limit the intake of methyltestosterone, but this is true for any c17-alpha alkylated steroids, to 8 weeks.
Hepatotoxicity is low however when taken at a dose of 30 mg daily for 5 weeks.
Side Effects (Testosterone Suppression):
Of course, as one may expect, Methyltestosterone induces a negative feedback on endogenous testosterone production. It will recover slowly, requiring months unless the recovery is correctly made with the help of HCG ond/or Clomid.
